How God Punished Big Men In RCCG Who Asked I Publish Report On How Tithes Are Spent- Pastor Adeboye

Redeemed Christian Church of God General Overseer, E.A.Adeboye has revealed how God punished church members because some “big men” asked him to account for how their tithes are spent.

NEWS DAILY reveals that Pastor Adeboye said he did as was requested, but after two years, the men and other members of the congregation were losing contracts and businesses.

Watch the video below.

Read reactions Pastor Adeboye’s message has generated online.

I respect Pastor Adeboye so much. I think he should get over this tithe message bcos we misinterpreted it. These are laws brought by Moses but Christ has replaced it with Grace. We are not under law anymore but under Grace. Like Bishop Mike Okonkwo of TREM, he has embraced the gospel of grace (the gospel preached after the resurrection of Christ). He apologized for misleading his congregation on tithe and now they’ve stopped collecting tithe, stopped preaching the gospel of Moses, and now focused on the Gospel of Grace. I wish more Pastors eyes would be opened to the Gospel of Grace (which focuses on Jesus + Nothing)

If tithe was that important, Christ would’ve emphasized it. Tithe is for the Jews, in our content, it’s important for the running of the church. Not paying Tithe will not stop anyone from going to heaven, it’s for running the church. Love is what Christ preached.

Religion generally cannot prosper without instilling guilt and fear in people. Most religious people behave well & care about other humans because of fear of hellfire not because of anything else.
The Ordinary Nigerian @folowhoknowroad
It is interesting how in one story he has scared people away from asking for transparency in spending of tithes.

Pastor Adeboye, like many Nigerian ministers and G.Os, can never be wrong to many Christians in the Nigerian Christian community. There is no need to waste your breath; the problem is not Christianity; something is wrong in our culture as a people and even religion can’t save.
Charles Anazodo @chaplinez70
I’m not condemning anyone but a man like Pastor Adeboye cannot be said to be ostentatious or fraudulent. Man has a track record & it would be foolhardy for anyone to think or believe he’s mismanaging church funds. There are pastors & there are pastors. Again, giving is not a must.
